She's a mover and a shaker!

Here she is!  Little Miss "I can rollover"!  She has been wanting to for a week or so and last week she did it,  it looks like she's getting help in the picture but really it's all her!  The other night I was cooking dinner and turned around to check on her and she was gone, I asked Jason if he had her and he didn't - the little stinker rolled all across the room!  Yesterday she was pushing with her feet to try and reach me..oh man, I am not ready for a mover!
She looks completely bald.. I swear she has some teeny, tiny blonde fuzz on top and a great big long party in the back!  So attractive!  I try to keep bows on her but now that she moves she often ends up with them over her eyes and it just makes her mad.  So her bows are for days out on the town!  I have to admit that I am spoiling her.. she likes to sleep in Mommy's arms.. and cries if she realizes I'm looking at her and she's not in them!  Not too much - but getting worse. Today we have been working on naps in our crib.. so far it's not working out for me!  My own darn fault!  But I reminded Jason that ALL 3 of our kids were like this.  And they are all just fine!  Forget that our almost 7 year old ends up in our room almost every night!  Our 5 year old hates to sleep with us!  So it's a crap shoot.. maybe she will and maybe she won't, but I do know she will not go to college sleeping in my arms or our bed.

Jack finished his tball season with an amazing catch {forgive me - I am not baseball lingo savvy} he was pitcher and the batter hit a nice drive up the middle - Jack put his glove out and caught that sucker!  Way to go Jack-a-noni!  He's ready to move up to the big league - next year is Double A.  It should be really fun to watch him - the kid loves baseball!  So cute to watch him out there - he even takes his time, gets in just the right stance before he bats - then swings like crazy to hit the ball outta the park!  He's a good little player {maybe I'm biased.. but really}.  Brady will finally get to play tball - Fun, fun!

The boys at the last game of the season.  Jason was the coach pitcher.. good times!

Have a great Friday!  Love, The Muths

Meet Chris and Jane...

I know you are all wondering "who the heck are Chris and Jane"?  Well let me tell you the story.. Sorry Jace - this has to be told!  It's actually too funny not too!

A long time ago in a city far far away.. Poway that is.  There lived this cute little couple about to give birth to their first child {this would be Me and Jason} .  And in this city it was peaceful.. you see it's more like the city in the country.  A small town right on the edge of craziness {San Diego}, where people can actually have farm animals in the city limits - our neighbor had a horse and actually boarded him elsewhere but brought him by on the weekends {this would be Jane}Every so often we would see or hear her horse in the backyard and the dogs would go crazy.  So cute and charming.  But in this house lurked a very loud, almost intrusive couple.. Chris and Jane.  Chris and Jane had 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl, the kids were aged late elementary to early teen, now I'm not sure if they were good or bad or just lazy but let me tell you - Chris and Jane sure thought they were all of the above!  How do I know this you ask?  Well... it was obvious every single time you heard them bellowing at their kids.  I mean  yelling and screaming all the time, it was so annoying!  All you could hear were these parents yelling - I don't even know why but I heard it day in and day out.  I mean it's hot in Poway - a ton warmer than dear ol' San Diego proper - so we HAD to have our windows open and so did Chris and Jane.  I can remember {this is us - pre-baby} Jason and I saying if they would just get up and go talk to them!  Chris and Jane were a little on the chubby side and we thought it was just because they sat on their behinds screaming at their kids.. I may be changing my mind!

You see the other night it was hot out and of course we had our windows open and I was outside or maybe it was me yelling.. anyway.. that's not the point.  The point is that I started to laugh because it hit me.. Oh My God.. we ARE Chris and Jane!  I was laughing so hard.  When Jason came into the room I called him Chris and he thought I was crazy until I reminded him of this.. then he laughed too.  Because it's true... we're not lazy - we're standing right next to them when we do it!  Keep in mind.. this doesn't ALWAYS happen.. and most days not at all - but some days we do - these are not our favorite days.. it's usually after we have both or maybe all 4 of us {sometimes 5} have had a long day.   And so now when we have these days, I refer to us as "Chris and Jane".  It gives us a little light humor and makes us think about how we are handling things in that particular moment.  These times are usually in the evening at bedtime, which is not a fun way to end the day either.. But if you are ever in the neighborhood and hear that sweet, sweet bellowing through the hills... it's us.  Stop in and say hello to "Chris and Jane".  We promise to get off our behinds and answer the door!  ;-)
