We're almost there!

Today it's official... our little girl (according to all the medical books) is fully cooked!  Does that mean she'll make an appearance anytime soon?  Mmmm.. I DOUBT IT!  I really do think a pregnancy t-shirt is a great idea, it could be a blank format that I would fill in all the blanks for you.  I could even see it on a nice shirt or maybe a handbag, something that you can take with you anywhere!  I know I look tired and uncomfortable, can you imagine how I feel?!  Megan.. I feel for you girl!  You are a rock star!  Having 2 in there at the same time and carrying full term without bed rest.. you are amazing.  And then there's this crazy lady on the news who decided it would be a good idea to have 8 more than the 6 she already had!  I'm not trying to judge anyone but let's be real folks.. she has no business having more kids.  We all know who's paying the bill for that!  Thank goodness I don't live in So Cal anymore - I could see where my tax dollars would go!  They live in a 2 bedroom house, where in the world do you put everyone?!  Okay, okay.  I'll stop!  But I think it's not fair to all 14 of those kids!  I did tell Jason to keep in mind when we're up all night with our sweet little princess - we could have 7 more going!  This will be a walk in the park - right?!
I have debated about posting a belly pic and since I haven't taken any thus far and now I'm way to puffy and swollen.. I may decline.  You really don't need to see it.  Just know that it's there, and so far it isn't getting any smaller.  Brady calls me his big fat Mama.. I know he's using that as a term of endearment - my Brady wouldn't do anything less!  He loves his Mama.
He decided the other day to play baby, won't be the last time.  He was crawling around on the floor saying "goo-goo, ga-ga"  Aaaahhh my least favorite thing.  Poor kid he's just trying to prepare for what's to come!  He was even climbing in the crib and crying for us to get him out.  Oh boy!  I hope, hope he will adjust to this well.  It's not that he isn't loved, he's just one of those guys that will probably drive a few girls crazy.. you know the kind - SUPER touchy feely!  In a good way - he's a lover and a fighter!  Jack on the other hand just goes with the flow.  He's excited but not overly jealous.  He talks about her and wants an exact date she'll be here.  If only it were that easy!  He did tell his teachers she was coming on a Friday - I couldn't figure that out until I looked at the calendar, he's right she's due February 20th which happens to be a Friday, he has this obsession with the calendar.  No joke - he looks at it all the time and circles dates that are important.  Silly kid!  He has this brain that doesn't stop!
I will post some pics - soon!  I swear.  I may even have a few of the nursery.

4 weeks to go~

Well,  it's official.  I'm tired of being pregnant!  Olivia, I love you but I'm ready to kick you out!!  My body is just tired,  the fact that she's breech certainly is lending a hand - but I'm ready to be done and just see her sweet little face!  I know, I know - poor Michelle... wah, wah!  I get it, I know I don't need sympathy.. sometimes it's just nice to get!
My sweet Mother and Sister-in-law {along with the girls at work} had a baby shower for me yesterday.   What a fun surprise, with tons and tons of cute little pink outfits and a diaper cake made special by her Papa!  When I came home with all the goods, Brady was very happy to go through them and pick out what would be okay for a boy to play with and what would most definitely not be okay {who is he kidding?  Any boy with a cabbage patch doll will play with almost anything}.
Brady has most certainly been showing signs of a boy about to become a big brother and he's not sure how this will affect him.  He asks at least 10 times a day if I REALLY love him.. poor little guy.  He has to know that he will always be loved and that will never, ever change!  He is one of the most loving little kids you will ever meet... aside from being a bit of a bully himself!  Last week the neighbor boy was being a little stinky to Jack and wouldn't let him play, so Brady decided he was going to do something about it.  Jason heard this conversation while outside doing yard work -

Brady:  I'm going to get even with those guys Jack {smacking his fist into the palm of his other hand}

Jack doesn't say anything, he just sits and listens to his little brother.  In the meantime Brady goes next door and stands at the end of the driveway - staring and thinking.. he comes back to report to Jack.

Brady:  I don't know Jack, the look kinda big!

Oh man.. that kid is so much trouble!  He really wanted to pound someone for hurting his brothers feelings but I'm proud to say he thought it through {only because they were bigger} and instead of resorting to violence {this once} he let it go.

What will he be like with a little sister?  Look out world!

The boys went skiing a couple weekends ago and I'm proud to say Jack went on the chair lift all by himself and was skiing with poles for the first time ever!  Way to go!  He loves skiing, and loves it even more when he gets to spend the whole morning with dad instead of in lessons.  This was Brady's first ski trip and he did great!  He loved the lessons and kept it up the whole time!  I do have pictures but will have to post later.

Time to go do laundry or some other chore I have put off for the last 30 minutes!

I need a t-shirt....

It needs to be x-large and say the following:

I am due February 20th

This is my Third. Yes, that's right, my third. 1-2-3.

Yes, I have my hands full.

I have 2 boys.. this is a girl.

Yes, I will have my hands full (you must not have heard me the first time)

Is this our last? Hmmm... I'll get back to you (I'm not crazy! Of course it's my last!)

Yes, we are brave and yes, we are excited.

No, this was planned.

No, you may not touch my belly.

Yes, I'm sure it's not twins or triplets.. or any kind of multiple.

That's right, I still have a month and a half to go.

Yes, I do carry big (I'm small boned Okay?!)

Oh,  your daughter is due any day and not as big as me?  Wow!  Lucky girl!

I look uncomfortable?  Hmm.. that's weird - I guess you don't remember the last time you
had a foot or 2 in your ribs!

Yes, I'm positive it's a girl, and yes we do have a name.

That's a nice name, I'll have to keep that in mind.

Yes, the kids are really excited.

Yes, I do have my hands full.

That way, I don't have to say anything, I can just point to the shirt.

or another favorite of mine is

"you look tired."

Nothing else.

What do you say??

Yes, I'm tired (of all the stupid questions!)

I don't mean to be a cranky, tired pregnant lady and I know most people just don't think before they speak.  I hope that some day when I'm older (not old.. just older) I will remember all the questions and how stupid they are.  And I promise to make a great effort to never, ever ask them or make a comment to some poor sweet girl just trying to get through her last weeks of pregnancy!

Love, Michelle (I am small boned ya know!)

Happy New Year!

I've never really been a big fan of the "New Year" holiday and celebrations.  It's not that I don't enjoy celebrating or starting a new year... but it's hard to stay awake that late and really when you can't even enjoy some good wine with your husband - what's left?!  This year we kept it really low key... the boys ate tv dinners.. yes, you read that correct - TV Dinners!  How fun is that?  And does it ever bring back memories of when we were kids!  After their delicious dinners they parked themselves on Mommy and Daddy's bed to watch Flubber in their jammies.   A cozy night and in bed by 9PM.   While they watched their movie it gave Mommy and Daddy the chance to enjoy a nice take-out dinner of Sushi.. of course I had a fully cooked roll but I enjoyed that just as much!  With some sparkling apple/grape cider - what an evening!  After the boys were in bed we settled in to watch a movie and somehow managed to watch the ball drop at midnight.  I swear it's the first time in YEARS that we have actually made it.  At 12:01AM the tv was off and we were out!  Welcome 2009!  We have to get our rest now because in a month and a half goodness knows we won't be sleeping much!
I am not one for a New Years resolution either.. honestly how many of us really keep them?  And I know the gym resolution is out - again!  Someday!  So for the beginning of 2009, I won't say these are my resolutions.. more like a plan of action, things I'd like to accomplish.  But I will not say resolutions!  So here goes:

1) Get organized!  I would love to try and be on top of things before the princess arrives.  I'm afraid of what will happen after!

2) Finish decorating my house.. at least get a good jump start on most of the rooms.  Our dining room still houses the dog bed.. except for this holiday season it looks like a wrapping station at your local department store!

3) This should be at the top of my list.. but I'm procrastinating!   Get the baby's room ready and in order - I only have 50 days left!

4) Eat healthier and get my boys to eat more veggies - yeah right!  I said things I'd LIKE to accomplish!

5) Spend more 1 on 1 time with each boy and little girl.  I realize it's going to be more difficult once she gets here - that's why I'm saying it out loud - maybe it will happen then!

6) Spend more time with just my husband.. simple time.  Not necessarily nights out, just time to ourselves.

There.. I've said them and put them in writing.. hopefully this will help me remember the things I wanted to do in 2009!

Wishing you all a wonderful 2009!

Love, The Muths
